Preventing Yeast Infections
Yeast infections are surprisingly common in both men and women. Although not classed as “serious” an outbreak can be extremely irritating and uncomfortable as well as embarrassing. By taking a few simple steps you can greatly reduce your chances of triggering off a yeast infection attack.Tip One: Pick the type of soap you use carefully. Perfumed soaps are a great way to get a lovely all over fragrance. However you should avoid using them in the genital area. The perfume contained in the soap can irritate the delicate skin and yeast infections can flourish when the skin becomes hot and irritated. These types of soap can also change the natural pH levels of the area which can also trigger a yeast infection outbreak. So for your more intimate areas use mild soap, preferably pH balanced and remember to rinse thoroughly.Tip Two: Avoid wet clothing.
